Lion Vic Truluck of Hastings Lions Club is leading a project for the collection and recycling of used hearing aids.
Hastings Lions are able to repair and bring into use most types of hearing aid and are keen to receive these and other equipment related to the diagnosis and treatment of deafness.
Repaired
and in full working order, hearing aids are distributed mostly to Africa and
Eastern Europe. Last year over 1000 hearing aids were repaired and recycled and
the number is increasing each year.
Chichester Lions Club is happy to receive hearing aids and audiology equipment via the same method of delivery as spectacles. We will then convey this equipment to Hastings. For further details contact Vic Truluck
